Vacation Rental Owners Opening Doors to Hurricane Harvey Evacuees and Rescue Workers

Thanks to the generosity of HomeAway® vacation rental owners and managers, select rental properties in Texas and surrounding states can be reserved for free or reduced cost to displaced victims of Hurricane Harvey.

HomeAway is helping connect travelers to available properties through its Temporary Housing page: http://hmwy.co/TemporaryHousing. All service fees associated with booking these properties have been waived by HomeAway. The full cost of the rental may vary based on the specific discount offered by the homeowner.

HomeAway customer support personnel are available to assist with the reservation process to those families and groups in need of housing.  The phone number 1-888-336-7713 is dedicated as a direct line for those in need of assistance.

Property owners and managers who wish to make their homes available can do so here: http://hmwy.co/HelpWithHarvey. Any HomeAway vacation rental owners and managers requiring assistance with their property listing may contact customer support through a separate dedicated phone number: 1-888-337-0843.

“Being based in Texas, nearly all of our HomeAway employee family is either related to or knows someone affected by Hurricane Harvey,” said Bill Furlong, HomeAway Vice President, North America. “We are moved by those who are dedicating themselves to help our fellow Texans, especially those opening their doors.”

To complement the numerous efforts taking place statewide, HomeAway is teaming up with its employees for Hurricane Harvey relief. In addition to pledged donations to the American Red Cross and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, HomeAway will match, two to one, all employee donations to their chosen hurricane relief organization.
